Dr. Marcus Nynas

Dr. Marcus Nynas was born in Deer River, Minnesota. That’s a small town of 700 in the north-central part of the state, about an hour south of Canada. He attended school there and after graduating from high school he attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. He applied to and was accepted at Northwestern College of Chiropractic (now Northwestern Health Sciences University) where he completed both his bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and his doctorate degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Dr. Nynas moved to Billings in July of 2000 to finish his internship. After completing his internship he became licensed in January of 2001 and has practiced in Billings since that time. He opened Billings Family Chiropractic, Inc. in February of 2005. Dr. Nynas firmly believes that his patients deserve the best care and has established his clinic to meet his goal of providing the highest quality care at convenient times and affordable prices.

Dr. Nynas has installed a full x-ray suite, physiotherapy modalities (ultrasound, a flexion distraction table and interferential), and recommends home stretches and exercise programs. His focus is on the health of his patients, and he will refer patients to the proper specialist if they do not return to health under his care.

Dr. Nynas was the 2011-14; and 2016-17 president of the Montana Chiropractic Association, and has been a member of the MCA board of directors from 2008-2015 and 2016-2019. He is the Montana Delegate to the American Chiropractic Association from 2014-present. He was the alternate delegate from Montana to the American Chiropractic Association from 2009-2011; 2014. Dr. Nynas was a member of the Rocky Mountain Health Network board of directors from 2008-2014. He was the representative from Montana to the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations from 2011-14. He is a past president of the Yellowstone Chiropractic Association. Dr. Nynas was team chiropractor for Rocky Mountain College Athletics from 2006-2013 and for Montana State University Billings from 2008-2013, and was the team chiropractor for the Billings Mustangs for the 2010 season. He was an adjunct faculty member of Montana State University Billings during the 2009-2012; 2014 curriculum years.

Dr. Nynas is an accomplished speaker and can customize talks to meet the needs of many groups. He can give talks on proper ergonomics for desk workers, or for manual laborers as well as general health talks and of course background information about chiropractic care for school groups. He has given presentations to third grade classes (a skeletal system review), collegiate classes, work groups, and groups of patients looking to regain optimum health. Dr. Nynas was awarded the Montana Chiropractic Association Chiropractor of the Year Award in 2015, and a member of the Billings Gazette 40 under 40 in 2010.

When Dr. Nynas has free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking. He loves the mountains and tries to spend as much time as possible in them.
