Dr. Ryan Oblander
Dr. Ryan was born in Billings Montana and raised throughout the state. Ryan is very much a family man and enjoys every minute he gets to spend with his wife and 3 children. Encouraged by his passion for the sciences he was driven to earn his Bachelor’s in Human Biology and Master’s in Nutrition while pursuing his Doctorate. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at City College in Billings, MT where he teaches anatomy and physiology courses. When not working with patients or instructing students you will find Ryan Mountain biking, dirt biking, snowboarding, or any number of outdoor activities.
Dr. Ryan is a lifelong learner and is always digging into the latest research in manual medicine and continues to implement new treatments that are valuable to his patient's success and healing. He is a huge advocate for the benefits spinal manipulation provides and will tailor his technique based on your needs and experiences. You will also find that he recommends dry needling, exercise, massage, and cold laser therapy when appropriate.
Dr. Marcus Nynas
Dr. Marcus Nynas recently sold his practice to Dr. Ryan Oblander and has moved into a role with patient care at the VA in Billings Montana. We will miss having Marc around the office but know he is going to do great things for the veterans of our great country. The VA is lucky to have him.
Dr. Marcus Nynas was born in Deer River, Minnesota. That’s a small town of 700 in the north-central part of the state, about an hour south of Canada. He attended school there and after graduating from high school he attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. He applied to and was accepted at Northwestern College of Chiropractic (now Northwestern Health Sciences University) where he completed both his bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and his doctorate degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Dr. Nynas moved to Billings in July of 2000 to finish his internship. After completing his internship he became licensed in January of 2001 and has practiced in Billings since that time. He opened Billings Family Chiropractic, Inc. in February of 2005. Dr. Nynas firmly believes that his patients deserve the best care and has established his clinic to meet his goal of providing the highest quality care at convenient times and at affordable prices.
Dr. Nynas has installed a full x-ray suite, physiotherapy modalities (low-level laser therapy, ultrasound, a flexion-distraction table, and interferential), and recommends home stretches and exercise programs. His focus is on the health of his patients, and he will refer patients to the proper specialist if they do not return to health under his care.
Dr. Nynas is an accomplished speaker and can customize talks to meet the needs of many groups. He can give talks on proper ergonomics for desk workers, or for manual laborers as well as general health talks and of course background information about chiropractic care for school groups. He has given presentations to third grade classes (a skeletal system review), collegiate classes, work groups, and groups of patients looking to regain optimum health. Please call the office for more information or to schedule a talk.
When Dr. Nynas has free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking. He loves the mountains and tries to spend as much time as possible in them.
